Two types:
1-Composite = white resin, good for small fillings, but the material isn’t strong enough to use on large fillings, especially on large fillings on posterior teeth.
2-Porcelain – white porcelain, very strong and natural looking.
Silver fillings are also known as mercury fillings or amalgam fillings. These have been the standard for many years. They do contain some mercury, and the mercury can leak into your body. Contrary to some urban legends on the issue, it does so at a much smaller amount than what you get from eating a normal amount of seafood.
